All buildings start with a solid foundation. To begin, we clear and prepare the ground. This can include removing plants, shrubs and turf.
When the ground is ready, we will dig the foundations. They have to be deep enough to make sure there is enough room for the support layer and the flooring – these are dug according to your plans and local authority approval.
Once the foundations are prepared, we fill them with concrete to DPC (Damp Proof Course) level.
It is commonplace for us to carry out a revision of the drainage at this stage of your build too, making sure that everything is ready for the next stage.
From ground level you will really start to see your build take shape.
